...AWW NUTS

The carb needs rebuild, no ifs, ands or buts about it! :(

I get fire and started out no gas to the plugs. Took the bottom of the bowl off and found the PO used clear RTV to make a gasket...can you say "Gummy worms"

Cleaned and blew and cleaned and sucked and...(well you get the picture) then tried to make a gasket for the bowl and it leaks everywhere.

So to make a bad story to an AWW NUTS story, there is a part number (Honda Code 1182971) for a gasket kit (not available) and found out that they (Honda) had problems with that particular carb for the 82-83 production.

Questions for the masses and those in the know, is there a replacement carb number, a kit laying around collecting dust or does anyone really have anything they can add to help me out

Call around for a bike shop (or other kind of shop for that matter) that can cut custom gaskets for you. There's a Yamaha shop here that does it. They keep sheets of gasket material in stock and cut to fit for your application.
