I am a newbie to this website. And am not a motorcycle rider, but i am thinking about getting a bike just for a comute back and forth to work. The bike i am considering is a Rakatak 200cc bike. It's a ninja style bike. They run for about $1500 i think. If anyone else knows about the dependabiliy of these bike it would be greatly appreciated.

I know its not a honda or yamaha, but is it anywhere close to as depndable.

Well, there is only one way to find out. Looks to me like it uses a copy of a Honda XR200 engine. It ought to be alright for running around town but I would keep it off the freeways. For $1500 you can pick up a used Ninja 500 or a Suzuki GS500 or a slew of other kinds of bikes.

+1 I would spend the money on a used ninja. Tons of used parts out there for them if you should need them.

Me too. Though the low price is tempting. I would actually like to try one of those out myself just to see if it be worthwhile just for an in town bike. I don't think I would take it out on the highway.
looks to good to be true, I think I heard about these from my friend and he said they are chinese ****. I think they would be more of a hassle then they are worth, plus parts won't be easy to find.
I have a RAKATAK and its way to much of a hassle to find parts. no one will ever help you work on them. i wish i would never have bought mine. waste of money go for something else
RAKATAK? Sounds like the noise my old Triumph made when it was about out of oil. :)
