2005 GZ 250

The engine starts but it takes more and more attempts. The first 6 or 7 times it just clicks.

I had the battery checked today and it's in great shape.

My research suggests:
1. solenoid
2. starter motor going out
3. turn on switch (remote)

are the most common causes of this.

How do I go about isolating which one it is?

Alternately, let me know if it could be somethign else wrong.

With a Clicking noise I would definitely check all Battery and Related Connections First ..

How was the battery checked? Low amperage would be my first guess.

Next would be the connections at the battery as mentioned above. Make sure they are snug.

Check the battery ground wire and starter connections to make sure they are tight.

Before buying parts, try another battery or jump start. Check for solid current from the start circuit. Bench test the starter.
