Hey there!
I’ve got this 1986 Cb700Sc apart because the alternator chain snapped taking with it the alternator chain tensioner in the carnage. Nothing else looks to be amiss. I am having a hard time tracking down a replacement for it(damn vintage bikes). The break is pretty clean though. I’m wondering if it would be stupid to just try to JB weld it or something back together.

Thanks for any suggestion. Here are some pictures of the break.
