Hi all,

My Honda CB200 tail light is not working. Brake light works, headlight works, turn signals work, but the running light to have on at night is not working. I am not sure what is up. I checked connections, although not for continuity, and everything seems fine. I think it's the brown wire you are supposed to check? Anyway, not sure where to start. Any help is appreciated... Thanks

You're correct it is the brown wire which goes to the ignition switch. Check for voltage at the main switch connector first. Could be a bad switch, broken brown wire between switch and tail light housing or even just the tail light element is burned out. Grounds are good or you wouldn't have a working brake light.

Okay, thanks for the response. Are there separate filaments for brake light and running light in that bulb, or is it the same bulb?

Most likely an 1157 bulb with a low watts filament for running light and a higher watts filament for brake light
and /or turn signals/hazard lights.
