Hi guys,

I have a 1984 GS450 (according to the VIN), though it is probably a 1983. I am trying to rebuild my carbs, but I am having a hard time finding a kit for it. I ordered one on eBay the realized it was for a GS1000, I also found one on eBay, but it says its for a 1985-1988, will this work? Or will the one for the GS1000 still work? If not where can I find a kit (float bowl gasket, o-rings and even the float needle and valve seat)?

Forget the kit, they have a reputation for being poor quality. All you need for a rebuild is O-rings, and gaskets. The old parts can be cleaned and replacement is not necessary but a complete tear down and 24 hour soak in Carburetor dip is required. Check out cycleorings.com for O-rings. Z1 Enterprises is a good gasket source.
