I got back from a 10-day trip the other day. I went to start my motorcycle to just let it run... well the battery was dead. I was wondering Can I use my Car to Charge my Motorcycle Battery?
I have done it many times on many bikes... just dont start the engine of the car. yes a car battery has on averave about 650 - 750 cca where as a bike battery usually won't exceed 250cca but I have never in my 30+ years of working on bikes had a problem doing this..Thatsa not completely true... a car battery puts out way more amps then a motorcycle battery... I've started my bike by hooking it to my car battery before and it turns over so fast its insane... it cant be good for it if done for long.. trust me its not the same.
You can get a battery tender / charger for like $15, you'll need one if you buy a new battery anyway.... you should have one regardless.
