Unfortunately there's not one right bike! That's the God honest truth. You will need decide what you want your bike for. Back roads, Adventures, Passengers, Comfort, highe=ways, luxury travel, long distance, gas economy. and many more. Are you 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80+. We all ride . Mopeds to sport bikes, cruiser, 1800 wings, back to smaller bike trikes or sidecars …

Agreed.
I got a fairly big motorcycle as my first real street bike because I wanted to be able to take long cruises maybe even overnight trips around my region of the country,

but because it is a naked cruiser without a windscreen or saddlebags I'm rethinking that.

As it's currently configured, I don't think I would enjoy riding it for hours at a time at highway speeds (60+ MPH). It seems very well suited for short trips on surface roads and arterial highways where I am mostly in third and fourth gear.

Yup, I'm turning 60 soon, been riding for +45yrs. Have discovered decades ago that ADV are worse bikes ever! Trying to do everything, but master of none! I have different bike for each occasion. Only 2 of these 8 left, replaced others with newer better versions for their purposes.

5 bikes in my house right now. Variety is great.
Although I love them all 😁
