Buying a Suzuki BANDIT 600

I have a Certificate of Deposit from the bank, and I will get around $3,000 from them this Halloween (Oct. 31st). I want an opened / naked bike. I really like the Suzuki BANDIT 600 S. My friend said, "the colder it gets outside, the cheaper they will get" because people don't want to have them in their garage in the winter.

Is there anything I should know before I buy?
Should I wait another month or so, or should I buy now?

I sat on a 1200cc model at the local Motorcycle shop and it was comfortable and I liked the way it looks. If I get the 600cc model, will it frame size be smaller. I'm around 6 feet 3 inches tall.

Finally, is this a good deal? Kelly Blue Book value is around $3,000. They're selling for $1,800. :)

The Bandit is a good bike, I'm a big fan of naked bikes. The 600 will be a little smaller than the 1200, but not enough that you should be uncomfortable. I'd be a little leery of the one you posted because it probably needs a new fairing, and those can be pricey. It also means that it has been down, and there could be hidden damage that you can't see. I'd wait and spend the money to get one that doesn't need a lot of work. Age is not as important as it is with cars, an older low mileage bike will be just as good as a newer one with similar miles. The Bandit has been around since the early 90's, so you should be able to find a good one with a little patience.

I'm not sure where you are, but here's an example of what you can find with some digging:
