Hello everyone. I am new to this site and a new rider. My front brakes got locked when I stopped at a red light. The bike wouldn't move. Mu buddy told me I might need to replace the brake pads. Also , if I do, do I need to bleed the system ? . Thanks for any advise. RS.

Brakes locking usually means the relief valve in the master cylinder is plugged. The first step is to flush out the old fluid in the system and make sure any contaminates are removed from the master.
