brake bleeding

I am flushing the brake fluid out in my sons RM 100 and inadvertently must have sucked air in the bleeder valve. I have pumped and pumped the lever and still have no pedal. Anybody know how to get all the air out. Would some type of syringe work, going from the bleeder valve up?

You can vacuum bleed it. Pick up a hand held vacuum pump from an auto parts store and follow the directions it gives you. It works far better than the old pump, pump, pump, hold, open the bleeder, close it and repeat but not as cheap. The old method is effective but being your master cylinder moves such a small amount of fluid at a time it takes awhile.

yes but if its like bleeding the clutch there should be a banjo bolt at thr top of the brake linr, you should be able to bleed it through that bolt too.Iwas hours trying on my cluth had the same problem.I cracked the banjo bolt i was done in 5 minutes .I hope this helps,Jeff
Thanks for the input guys. I went to the auto parts store and got a one man bleeder kit and stuck the bottle on the rear rotor and pumped till my arm was tired. I finally got the air out, and there was a lot of it. I may invest in one of those hand held vacuum pumps cb750f mentioned. Amazing how a simple task turns into major frustration. Thanks again.
