I was taking the panels of my bike yesterday whilst trying to work on other issues and saw what looked like oil residue on my middle two cylinder heads. I wiped it off and am hoping that it is nothing. But my mind runs quickly to a leaky head gasket. I have been told by other riders behind me that my bike does smell when I accelerate quickly, but my oil level has been steady for the last month. There may be a slight misfire at the lower rpm's but I am not entirely sure.

I just called my dealership and they said that they have never seen a head gasket need to be replaced on one of these bikes. He also said that there is a drain tube of sorts above the cylinder heads.
