I own a 2002 r 1150 rt with 65,000 miles.
Went to start the bike .
When I hit the starter button , a muffled pop could be heard and the bike had no electric power. There is enough electrical power to run the clock but as soon as I try to start , it all dies again??
Any thoughts , Battery is good

How do you know the battery is good?

Dead battery is my guess.

Big pop you say? Did you check all your fuses and connections?

A weak battery can cause all kinds of strange sounds. If you put a volt meter on the battery and it shows 12 volts, it is dead. It may take a charge or may not but that's where I'd start.
