OK so I send you off to remind yourself of all those horrible mistakes to find the ones that you learned the most from...

Here is one I hope you don't forget....
Hint 1. When you get accustom to a special set of tires, don't buy some cheap ones and go racing....
I am sure that is what happened to my latest restoration project.
The tires that the Venture Royale is designed to use are 140/90s. It has slid some distance on the skid bars. The bike has 120/90s on it. I bet someone bought some tires that were about 20% less tread, then tried to take the corners they had always taken at 50 at the same speed.... there just wasn't enough tread on the tires to take the turn...and the bike slid....
NEVER REDUCE YOUR TIRE SIZE BECAUSE YOU GOT A GOOD DEAL ON SMALLER TIRES - TIRES ARE CHEAP COMPARED TO DOCTOR BILLS

Hell, I went from 110 to 120 in the front, and from 150 to 170 on my V-Max. That and I went to much better tires than stock. Tires is one area I will NOT compromise on!
