I'm looking at a 1971 Honda CB350 for my first bike purchase. It would be perfect for me to ride around town. My fear is that it is too small for me.

I'm 6'6" 36 inseam and 270 lbs.

I'm just a big guy but I love vintage bikes.

Any thoughts?

A lot of larger people tend to gravitate toward dual sports since they've got a higher seat height. Maybe you should go sit on some bikes to see if you can find one that fits.

IMO, you will find the 350 awful at your weight. You should look at at least a 550.

If you are an experienced rider.....look at the older Kawasaki Z series KZ900-KZ1000.etc. I own a 1975 model myself, models from '73 to '80 ( and later )are easily found, however '73 and 74 models are a bit pricier than '75 and later the '75 and up .are.inexpensive to buy..check ebay or local craigs list!..reliable,easy Fast and easy to find parts for etc. and TONS of fun to ride!
Just my opinion....and again thats if you have experience, they are DEFINITELY not a bike for a newbie.
