Okay so I did all I could and didn't accomplish anything. So I ended up taking my bike to a shop and 2 days later the woman called and told me that it was the regulator that was draining the battery. She said that it was fixed and is charging me $195. Is that a rip off?

Labor is around $95/hour, at my local, independent shop, so the rectifier/regulator was around $85-$90, then add in tax. Yes, that sounds right. Cheers!
