A Harrisburg man is in prison, charged with homicide by vehicle in the death of a motorcyclist Thursday night.Maurice Jermaine Phillips, 29, is charged with 21 offenses, including homicide by vehicle, causing an accident involving death or injury, fleeing from police, escape, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended or revoked license, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and failing to stop at an accident, along with various traffic offenses.

He is in Dauphin County prison in lieu of $250,000 bail. Police said Phillips fled from police during a traffic stop at 8:04 p.m. Thursday at 16th and Walnut streets. The pursuit was discontinued due to the "erratic and unsafe manner" in which he was driving. Phillips is accused of then crashing into a motorcyclist at 15th and Market streets. The motorcyclist died of his injuries.

Welcome home Maurice, may your stay be a long one.

I can only hope two massively built guys with the names of Bubba and Bruno decide to have a real hatred towards
M.J. Phillips and make his life in the big house a real mess. I have seen the 'Shawshank redemption' any luck Karma
will assist in Phillips getting his well deserved come-uppance. Life is too damn short, to be knocked off like this makes
it only worse.
