My road to riding was long. I used to ride along time ago. Mostly dirt bikes, off road. Then wanted to get into legal street riding. I had a 250 for a short time, never got my license, and when that was sold got away from riding. Life happened.

Fast forward to the recent chapter of life, I'm now single, kids are on their own, so I decided to get back to it. I spent almost a year deciding what bike to get. Some would come up for sale and someting wasn't right. Bank account balance, or something else happening. Id stop looking for a few weeks pr months then look some more. Then one day I came across one and everything was right do I got it.

Then came getting some gear and getting a license. That got delayed. The classes were full for awhile, my grandson was with me for awhile, and other things. I put it on a trailer and took it to parking lots for practice. It was seeming like I would never get my license. I finally found an opening to a class, and a couple of days before it was scheduled I was in a bad car wreck. I had to postpone the class several times. It was still seeming like I would never get there

But, I stayed focused and determined. The lady scheduling the class worked with me and was very cooperative and understanding.

Class day finally came, I did it, and the next Monday afternoon I got my license.

It's up to you. If you are determined to get a bike and ride you can do it. It's like everything in life, it's up to you what you accomplish or don't accomplish. Share more info. If your near me I'll go with you and of your somewhere else, I'll look and see what I can see online in your area. PM me with info if you don't want to share publicly.

I can see the OP not being part of this forum after this. I offered my story of it seemingly taking my beginning to ride again journey some time in a positive way. I could have easily said negative things along with everyone else. It reminds me of another forum about bass guitar that I was a member of. I studied and searched for a specific amp/cabinet rig to upgrade to. I wanted it to be flexible for different situations and I wanted it to have a certain sound. When I shared what I got with the group and why I got it it became a "how dare you put those two cabinets and amp together, your all but going to die if you use it" I was beat up pretty bad over it. Well it was all but by the same mfg and it was all designed to work together and it was all sold by the same vendor as a set. It was made in Italy and is not very widely used in the US If it's something someone else wouldn't use well that's fine, they don't have to. I was beat up to the point I'll never participate in that forum again. Funny thing is, everyone that hears and the few other players I've allowed to try it out always compliments me on how well it sounds and how well it looks together. I don't think it was appropriate for the information about the location of where the poster is at, which is nothing but where his internet provider has what is called a POP, point of presence. That's where the internet providers connection to the internet is located. If you dig into my home internet, you'll be disappointed. My providers pop is several hundred miles from my house. And I do know about this stuff. I started IT before there was any internet for anyone to use. I say shame on everyone who beat the OP up like they did.
