Looking to purchase a full exhaust system for my 2013 Ninja 650
which brand do you guys think is the better purchase?
Yoshimura around $590
Akrapovic $786

I want a nice sounding exhaust, probably gonna take baffles out.
I'm leaning towards Akrapovic since it looks like it gives me more, but obviously gonna cost me more $$

They're both great exhausts but if it were me, I'd do akrapovic. I like the way they sound and look. Ya you're going to pay more but it's worth it.

I've only ever installed one Akrapovic but quite a few Yoshimuras.
The one Akrapovic I did looked much more high tech and the cost was much more than a Yosh.
The sound probably won't be much different.
Loud is loud.
The type of engine dictates the type of sound you get.

Usually what costs more is better.......

If tone and decibels are what your going for, try D&D. The D&D exhaust on my ZX9R shakes the mirrors of cars around me, even just idling.

I had an Akrapovic on a FZ6 and loved that you could remove baffles and go from slightly louder than the OEM cans to a Ducati like rumble in a matter of seconds.

The build quality was excellent.

Speaking of "Ducati like" how about adding Termignoni to the conversation? They are a little pricey but are preferred by Ducati and are used on many race bikes. I have a Termignoni exhaust on my HARLEY (XR1200) for god's sake! Oh the sacrilege!
