But I'm told I'm over my quota.

Suggestions?

I go to a lot of work --- taking or finding photos, cropping, resizing them, uploading, captioning, etc. to illustrate my posts --- to make them more interesting, informative, or to clarify what, where, who....

Can I post them on Flickr or elsewhere but have them APPEAR inline, or can you bump my quota up???

Thanks

Could you show me code for an example or two, from Flickr?

I tried and failed.

Here's the url of an image I desire to embed in a post.

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/14657721842" title="tender by wadenelson1, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5477/14657721842_76dbdaa6a6_s.jpg" width="75" height="75" alt="tender"></a>

Just trying this to see if I can help.

Nope, it didn't work. Normally I click on the icon that looks like a letter with a postage stamp. It opens a new small window which asks for the URL. You have to take out the blue http thing then paste the URL in and hit OK.

Unless you can post a couple of EXAMPLES of FLICKR tags that work, I'm going to stick with IMGUR.

I tried "Just the address of the picture" between IMG tags and it didn't work. Not the fancy URL posted above. That was so YOU could go to FLICKR and obtain the correct one, whatever it may be.

IMGUR works, easily, and auto- generates the code including the tags for inline insertion.

I usually just host them on the forum in the albums and link to them with img tags. I don't use Flickr, so don't know too much about it.

+ Feedback on using IMGUR.COM with Motorcycle Forum

A little feedback in IMGUR.

It's very convenient to use.

You can upload an image by copy/pasting or typing in an URL, by drag&drop, selecting it from your PC (via dialog box) even CTL-V (paste). So you can screenshot something, not even bother to save it, copy the image, and paste it into IMGUR, hit upload, copy the resulting html code, and be done in 30 seconds.

(Keep reading below this image)

What yo'ure looking at there is a SCREENSHOT of imgur that I uploaded TO imgur, lol...

What's even mroe fun is just to scroll down through all their pictures that have gone viral in the past 24 hours...

I wasted a good 2 hours doing that last night.

It automatically generates the http code (in a half dozen formats) for posting pictures to forums, BBS, etc. Very convenient.

And it's free.

I strongly recommend it for use with Motorcycle Forum, esp if you want to post multiple images per post, over your image limit, or just want to retain control of your own images...
