Posting for a friend (don’t kill the messenger) - Just got a 96 HONDA SHADOW 1100 ACE looks like someone put a Harley exhaust mod on it. Trying to put it back together but not sure what gaskets to use. Any advice? Thanks

Harley pipes are different diameter. It is probably an after market exhaust. Best bet is check ebay or Craigslist for a stock set.

THIS^^^^^^. Also, I suggest having a shop rejet the bike for you unless you know what you are doing. I just went through this.

So first Thank you all for responding. Second, i apologize if I am not explaining it right ... if someone has put it on then I guess I assumed it could be done again?..... is there a recommendation for a gasket material for the Difference in shape and high heat?

On a Honda? That would be quite a trick. Probably some confusion here...

Is it apart? Does your friend want to put a stock Honda exhaust system on the bike?

If you're asking about the gasket at the cylinder head exhaust port just use the Honda factory gasket.
