I have no clue what size it is, I have tried everything. I read somewhere that a thinwall 18mm deep socket would work but it didn't.. this is very frustrating. If anyone knows what it could be please help.

It should be 18mm, but who knows what a PO might have done.

Honda does have a specific spark plug tool to use in their tool kits as said above - they're a bit more thin-walled than typical spark plug sockets.

Does it feel like the socket has the wrong size hex, or is the socket too tight of a fit into the plug well?

The "standard" NGK plug is DPR9EA-9 according to the spec I looked up and it is an 18mm.
