83' Shovelhead

I have it about a year and been running well. This season it began to hesitate for short spurts and then back to good running. Seems to be getting worse. I put in new plugs and wires with no change, also checked for manifold leaks and all seems good. Any advice?

Hi,

I have a single fire ignition.

This didn't happen at all last year.......happened very little beginning of this season ,now its hesitating for most of the ride, seems like the first 5mins or so is fine then it starts.....last ride got stuck in that hesitation mode and then it like "popped" out of it and ran great fro a few minutes ( smooth) , then back to hesitating......I cant "throttle" out of it either......when its hesitating the low end of each gear is a real struggle, I have to run a lower gear at high rpms just to keep moving

I have an S&S E carb and not sure about the ignition I just know the basics lol, to check for leaks I sprayed WD-40 where the exhaust meets the heads.....what should I try?
