Im working on an 83 Honda Nighthawk 650 with a hydraulic clutch. The issue that im having is the clutch will not engage, as in even when its in gear the bike wont move. Looking back i made the mistake of squeezing the clutch lever when i had the clutch plates out... says specifically in the manual not to do this but of course didnt see that note till after the fact. Im assuming just like brake calipers on a car, dont push the brake pedal with the pads or calipers off. I guess what im asking is whats the proper way to fix this goof up?

Well, you probably shot the piston clear out of the slave cylinder (or at least too far), which is what would happen with brake calipers. Better take that out and make sure you didn't invert any seals or boots. Then you'll have to bleed the whole thing.
