I recently bought a 1982 cb900f super sport. The bike was only 800 bucks running with a few hiccups, I couldn't pass it up. I noticed the other day that the warm idle reaches about 3000 rpms. Cold idle is about 1000. I don't believe there is a vacuum leak but when I went to adjust the idle control screw... I couldn't find it. I believe it should be on the clutch (left) side of the bike on the outside carb. Looks like there is just a hallow indented casing that is a little rusty. Does anyone know where I can find the idle control on this bike or has this one seized and been twisted off?

uhm...usually the adjuster should be easy to see and reach.

maybe it broke off.

I would try to locate a part fiche online (usually online motorcycle part stores) and study it to find out where the adjuster should be and then improvise from there if it is missing/broken.
