I am currently having an issue with the lighting system on my 79 Honda CM185T Twinstar. My taill light is not working. I have checked all bulbs, they are good and all 6v bulbs. all lights work but the taillights. I have traced the problem to the wiring cluster behind the headlight. The brown power lead for my tail light is not hooked up, and I cannot locate where it should connect to. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this issue? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

The brown wire that supplies power to the tail light comes directly from the ignition key switch. There's a not-used connector that taps into that wire in the headlight shell. That's probably what you are seeing. Try probe that wire with either a test light or volt meter and see if it has 6volts present.
