on the 5 speed trans, first you must make sure the shift cam plate is engaged in the notch between 2nd and 3rd. the spring loaded plunger is on the bottom of the case. install the outer cover with the middle tooth of the ratchet alined with the mainshaft, then ck yer shifting, let me know if you need more help

how do you time the quad in a 5 speed
i have had this thing apart 4 or 5 times and cant figure it out
i have 2 differnt repair manuals but they dont tell you much
i get it all back together and having trouble shifting narrowed it down to the quaderant neither book has anything about it
anybody have any ideas
