it held back on the manual downshift but I would assume its sort of like a tiptronic car, as long as it's in the acceptable rpm range and not over the redline. Another thing I left out that I should have mentioned was when I was making a 15-20 mph right turn, it did it in 4th. If I was controlling the shift lever I would have done it in 2nd. I thought that was a little different.

Tall Seat

The knees hitting the fairing is my problem with Goldwings. The only way I know to correct it is to butcher the seat to allow a small shift back. But even on supposed extended reach seats my knees still would hit enough to be distracting. My height is in my legs not my torso.

I would need a seat that set me back about two inches. Then I believe my knees wouldn't hit.
