The 2nd date has been set, for the next "Jamestown Island Run" folks.

This is a recreational event (not a Charity Run) that all full-size (no "scooters") motorcycles are welcome to participate in.

This "Run" leaves on August 23rd, (a Saturday) PROMPTLY at 9 AM from Wallingford, CT. It goes out along a combination of mostly secondary roads, and some highway, into Rhode Island.

This is a 3 hour run, out to Beavertail Lighthouse, where we park for an hour or so, and soak up the waves, splashing in our faces, to clean out the cobwebs of our brains.

Then off to Chopmist Charlie's for Clamcakes (a.k.a.: Clam Fritters) and Chowda!

The ride home will get us back into mid-State CT by just before Dinner (approx. 5 PM).

Should you wish to take part, the list is growing of those who will be attending. Send me a private message and I'll give you the exact starting point and a contact number.

Hope to see you at this "2nd Jamestown Island Run!" The first one, held just a month ago, was VERY well attended, and this one promises to be the same.

The ride on Saturday is building in numbers. Be sure and set your calendar to be here with us, if you live in the area.

One interesting facet of this particular ride this time, is the mix of people potentially coming.

There are 1%'ers, and Blue Knights (that should prove interesting), Business Leaders and factory workers; the spectrum is wide. Christians and Atheists, musicians and the tone deaf.

Ain't it amazing how many different walks of life can mix, for the same reason, that can't or wouldn't mix otherwise?!

Enjoy the weather and the ride. Have plans for this weekend otherwise would meet down there. Was down at Iggy's in Narragansett last week. We met at the Dunkin Donuts at Rt. 6 and 102 and rode 102 down to 138 and 138 down to Narragansett. Very nice ride.
