Doing a pre summer tear down, maintenance and what not. had the bike since last summer,

Anyway. measured the forks before removing so I can install in same position.

Forks were off by 1mm. Left fork 31mm right fork 30mm from cap to tree. So opened the book to figure out where it's supposed to be and it says stock fork height is 10mm.

So I plan on returning forks to stock height but I guess my question is what type of difference in handling should I expect by lowering the tubes by 20mm. From what I understand small changes such as 5mm can drastically change how the bike handles. I just want to go into first test ride semi prepared if what to expect

thanks for the input. when i got the bike it was already modded with all the ebay stuff the guy could find. shouldnt of taken me this long for a tear down to see what else he did but better late then never

Usually raising the forks is done for folks with ducks disease.

lol makes sense. guy i got it from was a bit on the short side.

atleast he didnt do any permanent changes to keep him upright at stop lights.
