I have checked all over the web and cannot find out how to take the seat off my bike! I need to get to the battery to replace it. I do not have an owners manual, or can find one! Hoping somebody can tell me what to do

Okay I found this on a quick search

from the wild wild web said:
remove the bolt on top of the rear fender, lift the back of the passenger seat, and then pop it towards the back of the bike. Once it comes off you'll see what holds the front seat on.

It amazes me just how different people searches will be depending on search history and search engine. They really get different results when it comes to anything political. This has been a documented fact. Too bad they can't just list things and let us pick what we want to look at but they don't.

Rear seat is the key, once you figure out how that is held on, you are in business. Feel around under the back of it. See if it pushes forward and you can lift it up from the rear.

Yeah, that rear seat might just be a very strong spring clip holding it on.

I did see this suggestion as well.
SOLVED: How do i remove the seat on a Suzuki Boulevard M50 - Fixya

Also, remove the side panels. There could be a latch hidden behind one of them. It seems there are several different ways Suzuki has used to hold the seats on.

On my M90 you had to pull off the right side panel below the seat. There was a key lock under there that you used your ignition key to unlatch the front seat. Not sure if this is the same for the M50 though.

My last bike was a 2013 Suzuki M50.

Left hand side of the bike, the side panel has a key slot in it. Using the bike key, take off the side panel, pull out th top of the panel then lift the bottom of the panel up off the mounting slots. There's a metal cord which hangs just under the side of the seat, pull the cord forward, the back of the front seat pops up. You take the front seat off by moving it back out of the front seat mount near the back of the fuel tank.

I think you take the back seat off by just moving it forward once you've removed the front seat.

My goodness Steve, they kinda went out of their way to make a simple seat removal, complex, didn't they. Or maybe it just reads complex and is actually simple once you have one in front of you to look at.
