Welcome to the forum from another K1200R Sport rider. My only advice on maintenance is to follow the recommended service and intervals.Hello everyone,
I just traded in my 2008 GL1800 for a 2007 BMW K1200R Sport. I am 22 years old so I thought I would get a sportier bike. Since I am a new BMW owner, does anyone have any advice on how to maintain this bike compared to the Goldwing?
Thanks
There have been several recalls on that model. The most critical is to replace the aluminum rear drive hub with a steel unit. Another is to replace the fuel signal strip that links to the gas gauge. Both of these are at no cost to you. Any BMW dealer can check your VIN to see if there are any outstanding recalls.
