Good Day All,
So I found this VStar for an incredible price which my wife and I thought to good to be true. We had looked at a Royal Star 1300, year 2000 a couple of days before and the pictures looked great. A one of a kind customized beauty...... we thought. When we went to see it in person the first thing we noticed was a leak under the shifter side. Upon tracing the leak we found the cylinder was leaking, front and rear from the top. The current owner thinks maybe they reused the gaskets but the bike did have 150,000 plus on her so we passed.
Now the one we picked up last night is a 2007 1300 VStar and just love it !!! Only 37,125 on her. It was 3 hours away so made for an interesting journey home but I only stopped once for fuel and now she`s safe and sound in her new home. It` not perfect, needs a new front tire and the saddel bags are missing their leather, the previous owner said the leather actually shrank from being out in the Arizona sun a few times but other than that she`s beautiful. After a good detail I will post a few pictures but just wanted to say thank you too everyone for helping us make this decision from all the information you all post.
I`m a former 1800 goldwing rider but I'll tell you, this bike has all the power we need. We tested it with 2 up, no problem.
so keep up the great work all and any questions I'll be knocking on your virtual doors.
Thank you All !!!??????
