My bike is a 2006 gixxer 750 with about 3,000 miles on it. Just recently ive been noticing that sometimes when i stop and turn my bike off and then turn it back on a few minutes later the Fuel injection ( FI ) comes on in my Temp meter. It flashes : Example - 150F then FI back and forth. Ive also noticed everytime its happened my bikes temp has been 200F or up. My dealership is about a 80 mile round trip so i dont wanna waste money drivin it up there and finding out its nothing. I usually turn the bike off and let it sit there for a minute or so and turn it back on and its good to go. Its only happened about 3 times.

Leave me some feedback on what you think.

Unless you can get a trouble code out of it and have a manual that tells you what they are I would take it to the dealer and have them run diagnostics on it. It may be somethin' simple or somethin' that if you let it go it may harm the engine. Why take a chance for a couple bucks worth in gas and a couple hours of your time. Might just mean a 3000 mile service or somethin'.

I have a 2006 gsxr 600 with 2800 miles on it... when I bought it that same code came on. I took it to the dealer and they hooked up to the tester and it through a code I forget the code off hand, but it ended up being the exhaust cables were not not set to the right specs, more then likely happend from cables stretching out from brand new... i got the bike back and it hasnt done it since.
