Sounds like the carbs need adjusted or are out of sync.
1998 Honda Magna 750 Hesitation
Help - Bike idles a little rough, runs great when accelerating, but holding speed and rolling onto throttle after deceleration the engine hesitates, once enough throttle is applied it responds and runs great again.
Any Ideas?

I tell you what, change the plugs before you do anything. They might be all fouled out from sittin' around and trying to burn off that old gas.
Probably does need a good carb cleaning and they will need adjusted. I imagine it sat for a good long while and they are all gummed up.
Possibly. Check for vacuum leaks also. To do this spray a little carb cleaner around the intakes while it's runnin' When the engine either smooths out you found the leak.
