Hey guys, I'm looking at getting back into motorcycling (after a 2 year hiatus after selling my Bandit 1200) and came across this bike on Craigslist.

Of course, the fact that he mentions the cam chain will need replaced (and is including a complete engine?) has me concerned. My question, to those of you who know this bike, is that I'm wondering if this is a common, easy, cheap fix that will make this bike a steal? Or should I just run from this bike as fast as I can?

The mileage, of course, doesn't concern me at all. Afterall, this is a BMW...

You can buy near perfect lower mileage R1100RT's for about 4k... Cam chains are a pain in the ass to replace. The bike cosmetically looks nice, has all the bags, but I think you'll be into it for much more then double asking price to get it right. Just my opinion...
