On my Honda Magna, I replaced the speedometer cable because it broke. Not my speedometer is still not working. I took off the speedometer cable, lifted the front tire off the ground and spun it. The little tab that goes inside the cable did not spin. I don't know how to fix the issue or even where to begin. Also I don't have the $112 that Clawson wants to charge me just to look at it. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Maybe the speedometer sender was not reinstalled properly when the bearings were changed. It's a suspicious coincidence that things started going wrong with it right after it was removed and replaced. The only way to tell what's going on in there is to take it apart and visually inspect it.
