1989 Yamaha Radian-Gas tank is rusted and pinholed, can it be fixed or do I have to r

I bought a 1989 Yamaha Radian yesterday for $400, not knowing if it ran or what was wrong with it. My dad had one, an '86, and sold it to build his house. I took the risk because it looked relatively solid other than not knowing if it ran.

It does run, we were able to get it going via a spray bottle and a ivy drip from another gas can.

This wasn't until after we learned about the tank. Its rusty, there was a pinhole in the side. When we took it off, somebody put electrical tape over the other holes which are larger in size, about 1/32nd to 1/16ths of an inch. Can this be repaired, and if so what are the steps I should take to repair the tank?

Or does anybody know where I can buy another tank?

No I don't think so.

You could search salvage online for a usable tank.
Just make sure they'll take it back when they send you another rusted one.
We never had much luck with that. Maybe you'll do better.
