Hello everyone.

I am having troubles getting my bike to start and have run out of ideas.

So when I press the start button, the starter solenoid clicks like a machine gun.
I fully charged the battery and even tried boosting it using a car battery and get the same results.
I have taken out the starter motor, cleaned it, bench tested it and all is well.
After re-installing the starter motor, when I bypass the starter solenoid by jumping the two main terminals of the solenoid, the starter does not crank.
I checked to ensure that the starter is properly grounded to the battery using a multimeter and it is.

Does anyone have any ideas on why the starter is not cranking? Let me know if I can provide you with any more details.

Thank you in advance.

Does the engine turn over by hand?
Thanks for your reply.

I push started the bike today, and it ran fine. So i know for sure that motor is not seized or anything. Best I can think, the starter motor turns but doesn't have enough power to turn the motor.

What part of the starter would wear down causing the loss of power? When I took it apart before, it was in fairly good condition. I just took a wire brush and some break cleaner to get rid of the little gunk that had built up on the magnets.
