Hello, looking at a 1987 Yamaha FZ700. I guess this was a one year bike. It is in excellent condition. It does have an aftermarket corbin seat for that year and the windscreen is not original. 23,000 miles on it. Runs great. Any ideas? Does anybody know how many were made for the usa?

Yes, I looked that up already. But blue book doesn't mean anything if this is a very rare bike. It was a tariff buster one year bike.

The price guides look at what they generally sell for. The individual price depends on how much someone is willing to pay for one. I suppose if there is a collector out there that really wants one of these, they would pay more. I don't think they are a historically significant motorcycle to most riders.
