Hi all, I have just acquired a VF750s as a project bike and have got a few things to do to it before putting it on the road. My question is, on removing the stator cover, about 100ml of oil came out from inside the casing. Is this normal as I assumed most stator casings where free of oil. Look forward to your replies.

Stators get oil unless the points are located there too. Not all bikes keep points, and not all bikes have the points in the head. CDI ignition can be oil soaked or dry, they work on magnets and magnets don’t care.
