i have a 80 gn400t stock
sat for 2 years after it came from michigan to oregon
i bought it from original owner's son
i cleaned it got her running
carb has sputtering needs choke pulled out just a bit to run smooth
after hours of searching i believe i have the mikuni cv modle bs36ss
but dont know for sure
its my only form of trasnsportation to school and home about 35 miles each way
i realy want to rebuild this carb mabey upgrade it for a little more pep
but im affraid to remove it until i can rebuild it can any body help me to get a correct rebuild kit or recomend a brand new replacement that can be adjusted better

is there anybody anywhere with any info the guy at my local shop wants me to spend 300 bucks to upgrade :(:(:(:(:(

You may just need to run a few tanks of fuel system cleaner, to get the bits of gunk out cleaning didn't. I like Seafoam; it's never let me down for fixing symptoms like yours. If they persist, you may need a new seal or diaphragm, though.

Seafoam is commonly available in most auto parts stores in the US; Lucal Oil also makes a good one, I hear. Just about any, good quality fuel system cleaner should help, though.
