How long has the cylinder been off like that?

If it was stored like that really your only option is to completely dismantle the engine and start over.

I’d say it’s been off for like 15 years at least. I was thinking the same thing. I don’t know how much it’s worth to put in to it. Are you thinking it need to be completely rebuild?

The rest of the bike seems isn’t in to bad of condition

My gut feeling is if the engine has been sitting open for 15 years it's highly likely a lot of the bottom end has seen some corrosion, which will kill it within the first hour of running - if you can even free it up..

That said, taking it apart is free. Get your tools and rip that thing apart. See what's in there.

Look at post date, likely resolved long ago.
