I'd like to make up this bike so that it can be chopper, bobber, cafe racer or even Sushi bar decoration.

I don't recall seeing those plugs on mine but he may have connected vacuum gauges up there? My '78 had screws in the vacuum ports on each manifold that you remove and connect your 4 gauges up (or in my case I had mercury tubes at the time) to synchronize the carbs for the final step in the tune-up.
Yes, those carbs have the vacuum ports on each manifold and probably don't need to have other ports especially on the top cover. Will replace them with stock parts.
There was no fancy solid state ignition system but old school breaker points and timing plates. Remove the cover cap and access to the alternator shaft by 14mm wrench.
Adjust the gaps to 0.35mm, set timing of cylinder 1 by sliding whole plate and set cylinder 2 by sliding sub plate. BTW, it is definitely easier to see the crank timing removing carburetors.

Oh yeh, that's the fun part Neet, I bought a cap with a clear plastic lens with a red line across the center so you could see the timing marks without removing it but when running so much oil was thrown on it that you couldn't really see through it
Hum,,,I don't like this combination,,,. The taillight unit is too small and is very cheap looking.

It is just my personal taste but I felt the taillight is too small. Will try with K&S Lucas type.

Overhauled carburetors ready to install now. ( replaced bolts by stainless cap bolt as much as possible = 26 total ) BTW, removing the carburetors need tricks as rotating No2,No4 manifolds and detach the vacuum valve so that whole unit can slide out to left side.

Yeah, that does looks better. Also more integrated into fender rather than looking like after-thought..
I could start the engine but the fuel pump was sending gas very weakly. I disassembled pump and found although there were no noticeable cracks in the diaphragm, the the check valve was not working properly. I will purchase a genuine Honda pump since the repair parts are not available.

This is the first time to see such kick starter structure. It seems quite time consuming to use. The procedure is; insert the key into the upper lid of the dummy tank and lift the lid, remove the inner glove box, loosen the hand screw holding the right cover to open the cover, remove the rubber band fastener, take it out, walk to the left side of the bike, remove the rubber cover of the kick starter insert, insert the lever and you are ready to kick. Once the engine starts, reverse this procedure to store the lever. It's a heavy bike, so you can't push start easily but if the battery runs out, jump start is my choice rather than using this kick starter. By the way, the whole unit can be removed since "racers" don't need it. ;)

Assembled it to see the overall atmosphere. The front fender doesn't make big appearance difference as I thought (especially because of the chrome finish). Only handle bar, seat, muffler and rear fender are modified but looks quite aggressive. Still think how I can fill the gap between the seat and the frame. It would be nice to have a dedicated custom seat and smaller turn signals etc. Still need more detail work.
