Well here's my problem. Just got my 1975 Suzuki GT185 fixer upper. It did not come with the key. Now it is a kick start as well as a key start but the seat is locked and I can't open it.

What do I do :surprise:

They can be. But doesn't the key have to be turned to start the bike.
You remove them and take them to the lock smith. That is what he needs to make a new key. He does not have an app for it.
The bike can be rewired to run with an On / Off switch instead of using a key. The key usually shorts out the hot ignition wire. You find that wire and connect it to your new kill switch ( on / off ) The exit wire goes to the coil.

I would myself just cut the wires and hot wire it, but
as old as that thng is, just get a cheap chinese replacement for it off ebay or amazon. Seat lock is a different story, it will have to be drilled out, but if you do that, it may not hold the seat back down for riding safely
