I have a 73 RD60 and I'm wondering what to do. she is cosmetically well, but not mechanically. She will kick over, so I know the engine isn't seized. however the transmission is stuck in neutral. the shift lever does not move at all. and the electronics do not work. Any suggestions? anything will help.

Let's hope this helps... Find an old school bike shop in your area and take it there and have them do a "survey" to help establish a plan to resurrect this oldie but goodie. Although I am a motorcycle mechanic, what you are asking would require a crystal ball and magic wand. Your description of the problems is too vague and the list of things to do would fill too many pages. I'm advising that you go to a shop that has at least 1 mechanic over the age of 50, cuz some of the younger Dudes dont understand the old bikes so well. Try that.

so it runs and the transmission is not stuck anymore, however when we put it in first and start to go it dies under the load. any thoughts?
