While waiting for the carb parts, will work on the engine.
On a portable dolly so that I could wash it outside. Note this has messed part by previous owner.
I can imagine some causes like "reel off old chain completely" and "couldn't figure out how to set the new one" etc.

Just a little cleaning of contacts , i use muratic acid , then a good shot of baking soda solution to rinse .. then dry with hair dryer , assemble with dielectric grease ....

Glad to see you sticking with the manufactured design , instead of deleting a perfectly good system ... Going with premix is not the way to keep that engine running as designed ... , Or for very long ....
