OTD has a spectacular aura about
Default A poem for all

Heres a little poem I made up I call it Whiny Metric Rider

Oh why don't Harley riders wave back
Is it a moral compass they lack
Or maybe their ole lady would fall off the back
Why don't Harley riders wave back

Oh why do fat women yell "get a Harley"
And why do they always smell of stale hops and barley
If I had one would I give them a ride? not hardly
Why do fat women always yell "get a Harley"

Oh why do Harley riders dress like pirates
And if you ask them they get quite irate
If my clothes had that many buckles for work I'd be late
Why do Harley riders dress like pirates

From the title I thought you'd be bashing jap bike riders.. but that was more insulting to the Harley guys!

And, FWIW, pirate and irate do not rhyme.

Wrong It's meant to be just as stupid as the subject and the stereotypes. And I realize that as a poet I make a pretty good mechanic.

I am not much of a poet, so I know I could not do better. Yours was a good try. Made me smile.

I love this never ending theme of "So and so is a whiny ______ rider." Yet 95% of us pretty much say over and over "Its not WHAT you ride just that you DO ride."

Cool

Could it be that Harley riders don’t wave back because the bike shakes so bad they are afraid to let go?

I wave to every rider I see,but its funny that a good deal of Harley riders don't wave back.
I wonder if it's because I'm waving first they think I must be riding a metric.

And I DO NOT dress like a pirate.............Most of the time.

That is so true. I mean where else can you buy something as cheap and disposable, similar to a bic lighter? I mean you could ride for years and years. Then when it breaks you just throw it away and get another cheapy and repeat.

Those darn crappy harleys...... you end up keeping them for generations and generations while their value goes up.

Really now...
I would like to see you try that to my bike. It's one of those POS Jap bikes, as you so kindly refer to them as. Go ahead...

I might even hand it to you to do so with, on ONE condition. You first buy me a brand spanking new XR-1200.

You do that, and I will personally give you my Shadow to do with as you will.

I didn't have to steal anybody's bike. You can pick up one for about 50-75 bucks, hoist it up with a chain because ropes burn and charge 5$ a whack and a shot till its paid off then burn it.

If I was a rich guy I would buy you one of those XR1200 because I think you really are a Harley guy in sheeps clothing.

Not a Harley Guy, just someone who appreciates good rides, and I think the Sportster is one of the best Harley has given us. And the XR looks to be the best of the bunch in my opinion.

HD's are too expensive and too heavy to hang from a tree. It's much more satisfying to out accelerate them from a stop light after an ear splitting display of noise but no power. The look of futile fury while they try to catch up makes laugh out loud in my full face helmet. BTW, fat women only ride on hd's.
