I have not. But the US military uses some diesel bikes made by HDT. You might be able to do some research on those. http://www.hdtusa.com/vehicle-m1030-m2.php

I don't take internet forum gossip for gospel. You seem really bias in that thread so it's hard to not take it with a grain of salt. The bike may or may not be a good one, I don't know, I have never seen or read anything about them. But it is a diesel and that is all I was pointing out here.
