A power commander is a electronic device that uses different settings to affect ignition timing, fuel flow, etc to change the performance of the engine.

You can use it for fuel economy, or HP boosts.

It's most often used to adjust the fuel mixture when replacing the stock pipes with aftermarket exhaust. This only applies to computer-controlled fuel injected bikes of course. With carbs, the jets usually need to be replaced.

yup. fi only! unless you have lots of money to waste!

easy to fit - easy to set up. theres different mappings available for different bikes with different exhaust / intake setups.
as said, all it does is try to get 13:1 air:fuel ratio so can improve power output / delivery and fuel economy - depending how you ride

you can attach them to your pc / laptop and upload custom maps, or use the buttons on the front to modify parameters.
check out the webby - http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...r/default.aspx

a must (imo) if you intend to change the pipes or intake on a fi bike.

example - below are maps for a 2005 kawasaki zx10 with various mods.
just download them, install to the pc3 and off you go

It re-maps the air/fuel mixture for your bike, a wonderful tool in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing and with a dyno....Easy to install and dollar for dollar the best upgrade on HP for the money
